SUMMARY: Responsible for managing transactional data, monitoring data governance and data attributes to support the business applications that will support business decisions.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Serve as the customer data steward, responsible for utilizing the organizations data governance processes to ensure fitness of data. Establish the business objectives and strategies to inform business units of data policies, standards and documentation. Define and monitor data quality measurements and provide management reports. Perform data quality testing and audits to identify, analyze, report and resolve data issues related to integrity, accuracy, consistency and completeness. Engage in the identification of discrepancies and contribute expertise to understand the root cause and implement corrective measures. Conduct or coordinate tests to ensure that data is consistent with defined business needs. Propose solutions with detailing requirements to address data gaps. Ensure sufficient data quality is maintained to effectively support the business through publishing KPI’s and dashboards to communicate data quality and compliance with SLA requirements.

EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, management, industrial engineering or a related field; or a combination of post high school and equal experience may be substituted for education.
EXPERIENCE: 5 - 8 years of data analysis and report writing experience preferably in the logistics industry working with systems, applications and testing.
TECHNICAL PROFICIENCY: Proficient with Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Outlook, Word, Access or similar relational databases. Proficient in utilizing SQL to perform data queries and preferably Crowley logistics applications.

Ability to effectively manage projects that may vary in nature and scope. Ability to gather, interpret, report, and use data. Ability to collect, organize, analyze and disseminate significant amounts of information accurately and with attention to detail. Knowledge of data management best practices, including profiling, sourcing and cleansing routines. Knowledge of and the ability to utilize tools, concepts, principles, and practices of data collection, analysis and testing.

WORKING CONDITIONS: Normal office environment with little exposure to excessive noise, dust, temperature and the like. Extended use of a computer keyboard, viewing of a computer monitor and the ability to sit for long periods of time.
