Contador General

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Prepare monthly account and bank reconciliations
- Accounts Receivable and Payable analysis
- Deposits and payments analysis
- Interact with customers and coworkers by email or telephone in order to resolve any concerns regarding accounting or banking issues.
- Proper follow up of pending issues based on priorities and assignments.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency for existing processes
- Assist the team in any doubt about reconciliations they might have.

EDUCATION:

4th or 5th year of college in Accounting or related field-Required

EXPERIENCE:

- 1-2 years accounting experience - required.
- Experience as Accounts Payable/Receivable clerk or specialist is a plus.
- Previous experience in Lawson, (Accounts Payable and PO screens) is a plus.

TECHNICAL PROFICIENCY:

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools such as Excel, and Word. Typing, (7,500 key strokes per hour with 95% or greater key accuracy) -.
- Medium level accounting knowledge
- Bilingual

COMPETENCIES:

- Well-grounded in General Ledger accounting and financial concepts (i.e.: GL, AR, AP, accruals, revenue recognition)
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Highly organized
- Detail oriented
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
