Purpose of Position

Coordinate LCL Ad Hoc quotes activities and develop country Accounts segment

Tasks

* Develop and monitor monthly KPI's as sales calls, results, quotations success ratio, customer and volume wins and losses

* Drive the Quotation desk team efforts to develop the strategic CCS by targeting SME customers on the specific trade lane.

* Ensure GPM Completeness with buying rates, MSRs and local charges including Pick up and deliveries

* Adjust MSR rates based on market Level increasing Panalpina volumes and profitability

* Provide LCL ocean freight rates and solutions for country accounts

* Create and keep target list of in house accounts and categorize according to defined procedure focusing on gaining additional LCL business

* Work with close collaboration with Sales including identifyingthe ideal volumes and country accounts to be pursued based on sales Pipeline

* Monitor competition services scope and suggest creation of different routings / services for both current and target customers

* Perform all other related duties as assigned

Decision Making Authority

* Decision authority as delegated by the Regional Head of Ocean Freight LCL, in accordance with Panalpina regulations

Skills and Requirements

Functional/Industry Requirements

* Functional experience in ocean freight pricing

* Preferred sales and ocean product experience in freight forwarding

* Markets, in particular within top trade lanes (customers, competitors, suppliers, overall environment)

* Evaluation and negotiation processes, especially concerning service contracts

* High degree of competency in MS Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook)

* High degree of competency in managing performance

Educational Background and Work Experience

* BA degree or equivalent preferred

* 05 years experience of Ocean Freight pricing Preferred
