This is a 24x7x365 Tier 3 Operations role that includes the day-to-day management of clients’ carrier operations, new platform implementations, development of next generation DevOps strategies, and on-call rotation.

Responsibilities:
Troubleshooting of real-time VoIP software, IP / WAN Protocol stacks, and Linux server issues
Provide day-to-day SME level operational support including responding to escalated incidents
Ongoing operational support of our clients’ Carrier Class Telecommunications infrastructure
Contribute to and maintain system standards, research and recommend innovative solutions, and where possible automate approaches for system administration tasks
Manage, Operate, and support distributed MySQL databases
Analyze system performance and manage system resources
Identifying operating system or software problems related to the software products they support and work with external vendor support organizations to provide resolutions to the system issues or product defects

requirements:
Self-starter and willingness/ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment
2-4 years of Linux experience, preferably Ubuntu, including patch management
Decent understanding of Networking in a TCP/IP and SIP environment is required
Working knowledge of basic networking skills such as switching, routing, IP addressing, etc.
Some experience in scripting languages, i.e., Python, Bash, Ruby, Perl, etc…
Familiarity with Python, REST Concepts, and infrastructure automation tools is a plus
Decent familiarity with a wide array of open source applications and tools, such as Apache, NGINX, MySQL, Node, Services, Tomcat, PHP, NTP, collectd, etc…
Experience with telephony or voice related services (SIP, RTP) a plus
Experience with provisioning and configuration of VoIP phones a plus
Working fluency of French or Spanish a plus
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Network Administration or equivalent experience
Strong organizational, good prioritization, and time management skills
Customer focused with dedication to customer satisfaction
Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
Team-oriented, self-starter, able to operate with minimal supervision
Ability to provide 24x7x365 operations, including rotating on-call support
