Contador General

As part of our overall corporate finance team, this role focuses on (1) the end to end accounting matters of the different companies of Millicom HQ and (2) hedging accounting. You add value to the business while working with different stakeholders to ensure high quality accounting of the multiple entities from the start until the end covering all aspects.

Core responsabilities :

• You handle the day-to-day accounting for multiple legal entities and ensure timely and correct month end submissions in line with the agreed time table.
• You prepare statutory financial statements for selected legal entities (end to end process) with pre-agreed completion dates
• You regularly review and document practices and ensure that Internal Control requirements are fully adhered to
• You perform monthly reconciliations/variance analyses on financial reports such as balance sheets, profit-and-loss accounts and cashflow statements
• You prepare the corporate VAT returns/other tax returns and maintain relevant contact with the tax authorities, tax advisers and tax teams
• You analyze the financial and fiscal data and draw up different in- and external financial/fiscal reports
You analyze, propose entries, reconcile and book all hedging transactions
• You maintain contact with auditors when applicable
• You work in close co-operation with qualified legal and tax advisors as well as with treasury and consolidation
• You manage (and participate in) ad hoc or scheduled projects
