Purpose of the job

Working at the corporate office, the Build Engineer will be working with developers and system administrators to deploy .NET web applications, WCF services and more throughout our client’s global infrastructure.

Responsibilities
-Automate and maintain build and deployment processes across multiple platforms.
-Perform branching, merging and integration between development, staging and production source code repositories.
-Collaborate with Development, QA and Operations teams to implement solution into a highly available production environment and ensure high quality processes and releases.
Requirements
-Proficient in administering Source Control systems (SVN, TFS) and branching policies.
-Familiarity with application development using the .NET Framework.
-IIS7 & 8 administration a plus.
-Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
-Hands-on knowledge of SQL Server Management Studio, Internet Information Services (IIS), Visual Studio 2013 onwards
-Basic knowledge of programming in various languages – C#.NET, T-SQL, VB.NET, Microsoft Access
-Proficient in PowerShell scripting
-Basic knowledge of Networking and associated technologies
-Proficient in Windows Server 2008/2012/2016 System Administration skills
-A scripting language such as PowerShell or Python
-Graylog (monitoring/searching, alerting, dashboards, etc.)
-Web Access Filter (WAF)

Experience
-3 to 5 years of experience in Release Engineering, building and deploying large-scale .NET web applications
-Experience in using Continuous Integration tools including TFS Build and Cruise Control a must.
-Experience with SQL Server Reporting Services 2008 onwards
-2+ years of experience with AWS, Git and Jenkins

Education
-Four (4) year degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Information Technology or the equivalent combination of education and experience-
